When you stay at La Vista in the Dominican Republic, the ocean is never far away and, even if you don’t swim, offers a fantastic view all hours of the day. Of course, since La Vista is in Villas Cofresí, Playa Cofresí is the closest beach to the house, but it’s far from the only beach in easy reach. There are plenty of great beaches all across the north coast of the Dominican Republic, and if you’re a beach lover, be sure to check them out during your visit.

Other than Playa Cofresí, the next closest beach to La Vista is Playa Dorada, a world famous beach known for its golden sands. Thousands flock to Playa Dorada every year and for good reason. That being said, this beach can be a little too crowded for some visitors.

Very nearby Puerto Plata is Long Beach, a local favorite. Long Beach is east of the city center and about a mile long. Sosúa Beach is another great place to visit. Sosúa has white sand and clear shores and try to visit it if you can.

Whatever particular kind of beach you like most, you can almost certainly find it in the Dominican Republic.
